This bloom comes through in fine detail, built on simple radial symmetry broad, rounded petals with a subtle satin sheen that shifts with the light, while a dense cluster of yellow stamens provides sharp contrast at the center against the clean white surface. Macro work is great for this kind of subject it pulls out structure and texture you'd never catch in passing.

I chose to photograph this one because white is a hard color to get right. There's no bold hue doing the work for you, everything has to come from form, texture, and light instead. That's exactly what made it worth shooting: a flower that has to earn attention through structure alone.

For this shot, I let the long, curving stem do some of the work it adds structure and a sense of movement to the composition, rather than treating the bloom as a static, isolated subject.
